Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of directly related experience in contract manufacturing industry. Electronics manufacturing experience a plus.
• Must have prior supervisory experience & strong people management skills.
• Must have significant experience with inventory control, logistics, materials requirement planning, supply chains, contract negotiations, and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage, evaluate and coach team comprised of Buyers, Engineering Production Services, Quoting Specialist and Proposal Administrator.
• Develop team with established goals/metrics and track progress, with emphasis on professional development.
• Maintain inventory levels to ensure on-time production while minimizing on-hand inventory.
• Continually drive for increased inventory turns.
• Continue programs of exploration for new suppliers and processes to achieve optimum quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery.
• Provide management team with data/metrics to drive continuous improvement and decision making.
• Interface with Program Managers on planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments.
