Job summary

Textron Aviation is offering a summer internship in Supply Chain in Wichita, KS. You’ll work on inventory and procurement projects, driving automation and efficiency while supporting Direct, Indirect, and Aftermarket operations.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with material planning, purchase orders, and reporting. Applicants pursuing a Bachelor’s in Supply Chain or Operations should have strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Operations.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Computer proficiency including MS Office and CAD.

Responsibilities

• Assist with material planning requirements, issuing purchase orders for materials and components, expediting orders as needed, and verifying delivery dates.
• New process implementation and process improvement, involving developing procedures, completing problem analysis, etc.
• Manage inventory and reorder point of materials based on manufacturing schedules.
• Prepare reports and communications as requested.
• Perform system data analysis, maintenance, and clean-up.
