Job summary

Textron Aviation Inc. in Michigan seeks an intern to support supply chain projects focused on inventory and procurement, driving automation and efficiency in daily processes for Direct, Indirect, and Aftermarket products.

You will interact with production and supplier teams, learn SAP-based planning, and contribute to process improvements. Summer internship is 40 hours/week for 10 weeks, onsite, with visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Effectively utilizes time and organizes priorities well.
• SAP experience is a plus
• Computer Proficiency (MS Office, CAD, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist with material planning requirements, issuing purchase orders for materials and components, expediting orders as needed, and verifying delivery dates
• New process implementation and process improvement, involving developing procedures, completing problem analysis, etc.
• Manage inventory and reorder point of materials based on manufacturing schedules
• Prepare reports and communications as requested
• Perform system data analysis, maintenance, and clean-up
