Job summary

Textron Aviation in Wichita, KS is seeking a 2027 Internship in Production Control & Logistics. You will assist with maintaining system integrity of material requirements and replenishments, optimize inventory levels, production capacity, and material management.

Summer interns work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks, onsite, with mentorship and real project work. Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field and authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain, management, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Following MDIs and Standard Work Instructions, performs analytical duties to determine material requirements and approve demand/supply for materials.
• Determines MRP policies and maintains inputs for material ordering and control.
• Releases replenishments and drives requirements through the MRP system.
• Uses BOMs, master schedules, and planning data to ensure on-time supply to customers.
• Reviews information for adjustments to production orders and conducts short/long-term shortage resolution.
