Job summary

Textron's 2027 Internship in Production Control & Logistics in Wichita provides hands-on experience maintaining material requirements and optimizing inventory while ensuring on-time supply to customers.

You will work with cross-functional teams on MRP tasks, BOMs, and production planning, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement. Pursuing a bachelor's in supply chain or related field is required and onsite work is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain, management, or relative field.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. for Textron Aviation; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Summer internships are 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (late May to early August).
• Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entire internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with material requirements and replenishments using MRP systems.
• Determine materials quantities and release replenishments to meet demand.
• Utilize BOMs, master schedules, and production plans for on-time supply.
• Review engineering and planning data to adjust production orders as needed.
• Analyze shortages and propose corrective actions; coordinate with multiple teams.
