Job summary

Dole Fresh Fruit Company in Wilmington, DE is seeking an Expediter to coordinate the movement of products by maintaining schedules, production progress, and deadlines. You will track orders and ensure shipments meet required quantities and specifications.

Responsibilities include reviewing and tracking all orders, maintaining daily inventory to uphold FIFO, communicating with multiple departments, and confirming shipments on arrival or departure to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Availability to work overtime and some weekends and holidays.
• Must be proficient in calculating and interpreting different ways of packaging pallets.
• Experience working around heavy machinery preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
• Able to work in the outside elements.
• Must be able to adapt to work in different areas at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Review and track all orders, ensuring all shipments are delivered according to accurate quantities, quality, and specifications.
• Conducting and monitoring daily inventory levels, in order to maintain FIFO requirements.
• Maintain communication with various departments to know the amount and type of goods upon delivery and discuss needed changes.
• Check shipments when they arrive or depart, to ensure that orders have been completed correctly.
