Planet Pharma is seeking a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist in Durham, NC, to develop and maintain relationships with Diagnostics customers and logistics providers across the Americas. This role supports on-time delivery, data integrity in SAP, and continuous improvement across supply chain processes.

The candidate will manage outbound shipments, invoicing, and collaboration with planning and procurement to align inventory with demand. Some domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP MM/SD modules.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with air transportation, customs clearance and international logistics.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • APICS certification or Six Sigma is desirable.

Job description

Summary

Responsible for developing and maintaining world-class relationships with both External and Internal Diagnostics Customers, including the Commercial Operations and Technical Support departments. Assists with ensuring on-time and complete delivery of goods to Diagnostics Customers in the Americas region by developing and maintaining key relationships with all Logistics providers (manufacturers, warehouses, and freight carriers). Key member of the America's Supply Chain Organization responsible for process development to improve efficiency and contribute to Cost Savings Initiatives.

Primary responsibilities for role

.This role also delivers quality products and services on time to all customers, internal and external. Where applicable, assist with providing employees with training and resources to meet or exceed customer requirements. Monitor processes and products to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. In some cases, minimal domestic and International travel may be required.

Maintenance of sales order entry into SAP
  • Coordination and Management of outbound shipments to Customers, this includes but is not limited to facilitating import permits, meeting logistic requirements and other related process.
  • Manage the Track and Trace process to insure meeting the validated shipping requirements
  • Customer invoicing and SOX compliance
  • Assist with the management of Logistics Providers, including 3PL warehouses and Freight Carriers
  • Maintenance of SAP transactions to ensure data integrity and traceability of products
  • Contribute to Supply Chain strategic/special projects
  • Collaborating with Planning/Procurement group for ongoing analysis of the required levels of inventory to meet customer requirements.
  • Performing Ongoing analysis of Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including Customers On-time Delivery Performance
  • Other duties which may be assigned by the department manager
  • Seeks to understand customer's needs, educates customers, builds collaborative relationships with customers, takes actions to meet customer needs and concerns, sets up customer feedback
Knowledge and skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP (preferably MM/SD modules)
  • Working knowledge of MS office components, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience in air transportation, customs clearance processes and intemational logistics desirable
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated analyticall and problem solving skils
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on key customer needs
  • APICS certification/ Six Sigma or equivalent is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education
  • Associate's degree, advanced training, or equivalent experience required.
Exp
  • 2-3 years of experience in supply chain/logistics roles

Pay Rate Range: 20-33/hr depending on experience
