Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to manage procurement, inventory, and logistics in a hospital setting. You will maintain accuracy with perpetual inventory, create and track purchase orders, and liaise between Supply Chain and Clinical teams to ensure product availability for patient care.

The role requires 2+ years in supply chain or related fields, proficiency in ERP systems (Workday preferred), strong Excel skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate movement of materials, supplies, and inventory throughout the supply chain.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing to maintain stock.
  • Oversee perpetual inventory system and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Create, process, and track purchase orders and supplier deliveries.
  • Communicate with vendors, carriers, warehouses, and internal departments.
  • Collaborate with Clinical teams to support product availability and inventory needs.
  • Track shipments and resolve transportation and inventory issues.
  • Safely operate box truck and pallet jacks for transportation and staging.

This role ensures the efficient flow of materials and products, maintains inventory accuracy through perpetual inventory processes, and works closely with clinical and operational teams to support organizational objectives and patient care requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the movement of materials, supplies, and inventory throughout the supply chain.Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing teams to maintain appropriate stock levels.Oversee and maintain the perpetual inventory system, ensuring inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.Create, process, and track purchase orders and supplier deliveries.Communicate with vendors, carriers, warehouses, and internal departments regarding order status, shipments, and inventory availability.Serve as a key liaison between Supply Chain and Clinical teams to ensure product availability, resolve supply issues, and address clinical inventory needs.Collaborate with clinical staff to support product standardization initiatives, new product requests, and inventory optimization efforts.Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation, delivery, and inventory-related issues.Safely operate a box truck for the transportation and delivery of supplies, equipment, and inventory.Operate manual and electric pallet jacks (power jacks) to move, load, unload, and stage inventory safely and efficiently.Maintain accurate procurement, inventory, and supply chain records within ERP and inventory management systems.Analyze inventory and supply chain data to identify trends, shortages, excess inventory, and opportunities for process improvement.Prepare reports related to inventory accuracy, supplier performance, stock utilization, and supply chain metrics.Support demand planning and forecasting activities.Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and inventory control procedures.Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Clinical Services, and other stakeholders to support organizational goals.Required QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.2+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory control, logistics, procurement, or a related role.Experience managing inventory systems and maintaining inventory accuracy.Proficiency with ERP systems (Workday preferred).Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience in healthcare, clinical, medical device, or hospital supply chain environments.APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or related certification.Experience with inventory planning, cycle count programs, and perpetual inventory management.Knowledge of healthcare supply chain regulations and clinical product workflows.Key CompetenciesInventory ManagementPerpetual Inventory ControlClinical CollaborationVendor ManagementData AnalysisCommunication & Relationship BuildingProblem SolvingAttention to DetailProcess ImprovementCustomer Service OrientationSalary Range: $50,000 - $58,000Employment Non-Discrimination: Richmond University Medical Center is committed to equality of opportunity in all aspects of employment and provides full and equal employment opportunities to all employees and potential employees without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions and needs including lactation accommodations, physical or mental disability, age, immigration or citizenship status, veteran or active military status, genetic information, or any other legally protected status.If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
