Eaton's Metals & Fabrication division seeks a Manager, Supplier Development Engineering to lead a team focused on developing supplier manufacturing capability, capacity, and readiness to meet current and future needs.

The role emphasizes improving supplier performance through Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving, with leadership across global supplier networks and collaboration with multiple functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, or related technical discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional initiatives

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supplier development strategy for assigned regions, commodities, or business segments
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supplier Development Engineers
• Provide oversight of supplier capability and risk assessments; ensure mitigation plans are in place
• Drive manufacturing excellence initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and process capability improvements
• Lead capacity and scalability readiness to support forecasted demand and growth
• Ensure readiness for new product introductions, launches, and supplier transitions
• Establish standardized processes for supplier capability assessments and reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier readiness across development and launch processes
• Align supplier development priorities with strategic business objectives
• Establish KPIs for supplier development and governance
• Promote continuous improvement and best practices across supplier development globally
