Job summary

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is seeking a Manager, Supplier Development Engineering, Metals & Fabrication. Lead a team responsible for building supplier capability, capacity, and readiness to support current and future business needs in metals and fabrication.

The role emphasizes Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and APQP/PPAP processes, collaborating with Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to ensure on-time, cost-effective supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in supplier development, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, operations, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supplier development strategy for regions, commodities, or business segments.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of supplier development engineers.
• Provide oversight of supplier capability, manufacturing, operational, and capacity risk assessments.
• Drive supplier manufacturing excellence initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Lead assessment of supplier production capacity and readiness for forecasted demand and growth.
• Ensure readiness for new product introductions, industrialization, and supplier transitions.
• Establish and govern supplier capability assessments, audits, and development planning.
