Job summary

Mercer University seeks an ARC Supplemental Instruction Mentor to support, train, and encourage SI leaders. Mentors attend SI training meetings, conduct SI session observations, complete observation reports, and meet with the SI supervisor throughout the semester.

They establish rapport with assigned SI leaders, conference with them to review observed performance, and assist in the preparation of SI training materials.

Qualifications

• Must have sophomore standing or higher and a 3.0 GPA.
• Excellent communication skills; tutoring experience is a plus.
• Referral from Mercer faculty required.

Responsibilities

• Attend SI training meetings and observe SI leaders.
• Conduct SI session observations and prepare observation reports.
• Meet with the SI supervisor to review performance each semester.
• Assist in preparing SI training materials.
