Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a part-time Supplemental Instruction Leader to collaborate with the Director of Online Tutoring Services. The role supports residential and online students by providing supplemental instruction for online sections of designated courses.

As an SI Leader, you will run online sessions, develop engaging activities, and apply course-specific study strategies to boost student success, while participating in required trainings and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student
• A or B in the course you wish to tutor
• Cumulative LU GPA of at least 3.0
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with individuals from varying backgrounds
• Enthusiasm for helping students improve knowledge of course content and study habits
• Excellent level of responsibility, reliability, punctuality, and organization
• Appropriate and professional behavior

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple online Supplemental Instruction sessions each week
• Create interactive activities for online sessions to engage students
• Integrate study strategies to maximize academic progress
• Attend SI Leader Orientation, training sessions, and meetings
• Complete SI-related administrative duties as assigned
