FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY is seeking a Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground in Albuquerque, NM. You will supervise FTTH in-home and SMB installation technicians, coach staff, and coordinate daily job routing with dispatch, ensuring adequate staffing for projects.

You will also develop procedures, assign duties, assist recruitment, and support warehousing and reporting. The role emphasizes safety, timely execution, and quality control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year fiber optic or cable installation experience.
• Must be able to perform mandatory job site inspections to ensure safety policies are followed.
• Must have a high School Diploma or GED.
• Be able to work a very flexible schedule.
• Experience working in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of FTTH in-home and SMB installation technicians.

The Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground will be responsible for a variety of tasks and projects as assigned. Typical tasks will range in size and complexity. This position will assist the Project Manager with various large scale projects and tasks as needed and may potentially take the lead on upcoming projects as assigned by the customer.

What you’ll do

Supervise a team of FTTH in-home and SMB installation technicians

Coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of field staff.

Coordinate scheduling, assist dispatch with daily job routing and ensure adequate staffing.

Identify problem areas in the department and communicate problems and possible solutions to the Project Manager.

Develop procedures and implement them to better organize the team/department.

Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to technicians.

Assist in recruitment and training efforts.

Assist in warehousing and logistics support as needed to supplement the warehouse staff

Establish, implement, and maintain operating standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.

Track employee performance, tool assignments, vehicle assignments, uniforms, consumable items, etc. through the creation and use of spreadsheets and other documents

Perform quality control inspections to correct and coach any issues found

Interface with customers to resolve complaints and damages resulting from installation work

Perform various field technician duties as needed, including but not limited to, carrying and climbing a ladder when necessary.

What you’ll need

Must have a minimum of 1 year fiber optic or cable installation experience.

Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced time sensitive environment

Former supervisory experience a plus.

Valid driver's license with minimum of 2 years driving experience and a good driving record.
