Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Company, LLC in Dunn, NC is seeking a Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground to lead field crews and oversee the implementation of the company construction program on fiber optic and copper outside plant projects.

You will supervise, coordinate with customers and municipalities, ensure schedules are met, and uphold safety and corporate policies while working in both solo and team settings across diverse weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisor experience in telecom construction.
• Knowledge of telecom industry standards, practices and regulations for fiber/copper outside plant.
• Knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements.
• Valid driver's license with at least 2 years driving experience.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Willingness to work in solo and team settings.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and stay self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement the Company Construction Program on site.
• Be available for call outs and coordinate with customers and stakeholders.
• Represent the company with customers, developers, utilities, and municipalities.
• Coordinate, lead and assist crews, subcontractors, and other parties.
• Ensure construction schedules are met and policies followed.
• Plan and prioritize daily workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

What you'll do

• You will supervise and implement the Company Construction Program ensuring that each job-site utilizes the construction rules, practices and policies
• You must be available for call outs
• You will represent the company and interface with customer, developers, property owners, utilities, and municipalities
• You will coordinate, lead and provide assistance to crews, subcontractors and other interested parties
• You will ensure that construction schedules are met on time.
• You will ensure all Corporate Policies and Procedures are followed.
• You will organize, plan, multi-task, prioritize and re-prioritize daily workload and work with minimum supervision and the ability to meet deadlines, establish deadlines, and to prioritize deadlines while communicating effectively and professionally with all staff.

What you'll need

• You have 3+ years of supervisor experience in the telecommunications industry.
• You have working knowledge of the telecommunications industry standards, practices and regulations pertaining to the construction of fiber optic and copper cable outside plant facilities.
• You have Knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements.
• You have a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
• You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• You have the willingness to work in a solo and team environment
• You have experience in working through all types of weather, including inclement weather
• You are a self starter
• You have effective communication skills
