Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a vigilant Surveillance Supervisor to oversee security operations across gaming and non-gaming areas. You will monitor equipment, detect irregularities, and protect assets while ensuring compliance with laws and internal policies.

Strong leadership and communication are essential for coaching staff and coordinating with management. Responsibilities include training, scheduling, reporting, and maintaining evidence for investigations.

Qualifications

  • Three years of practical surveillance experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of table games rules, procedures and regulations.
  • Proficient with surveillance equipment and software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Effective communication and ability to handle escalated situations.
  • Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Observe gaming and non-gaming activity by monitoring surveillance equipment to ensure compliance with laws, procedures, regulations and rules and protect assets.
  • Detect cheating, theft, embezzlement, illegal activities and policy violations.
  • Prepare reports and verbalize occurrences to the Surveillance Manager, Director and/or department heads.
  • Compile and maintain evidence for legal actions or arbitration matters.
  • Operate all surveillance equipment and utilize them to full capacity.
  • Review coverage and adjust staffing as needed.
  • Assign tasks to agents daily.
  • Train, coach, supervise and schedule department employees.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job Description
  • Observe gaming and non-gaming activity by monitoring electronic surveillanceequipment to ensure compliance with applicable laws, procedures, regulations andrules and protect company assets from illegal or questionable activities.
  • Detect cheating, theft, embezzlement, illegal activities and procedure/policyviolations in all areas of responsibility.
  • Prepare reports and/or verbalize the occurrence of unusual activities to the
  • Surveillance Manager, Director and/or department heads as required.
  • Compile and maintain evidence to assist the property or BGC in any legal actions,employment matters and/or arbitration/grievance proceedings that may arise.
  • Know how to operate all equipment used by the Surveillance Department andutilize them to their fullest capacity.
  • Review coverage completed by agents and have additional coverage added whenneeded.
  • Assign task to agents to agents on a daily basis when needed.
  • Train, coach, discipline, supervise and handle scheduling of department employees.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Three (3) years of practical surveillance experience and previous supervisoryexperienced preferred.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of all table games rules, procedures, and gamingregulations.
  • Working knowledge of surveillance software and Microsoft Office programs such asexcel and word.
  • Knowledge of surveillance equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of state regulations, departmental procedures and companypolicies.
  • Must be an effective communicator and able to maintain proper order in escalatedsituations.
  • Must be able to sit and remain alert for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certificationsand/or licenses.
