Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a surveillance professional to monitor casino floor activities, respond to questionable behavior, and ensure compliance with Indiana Gaming Laws. The role includes performing in the absence of the Surveillance Supervisor and maintaining accurate surveillance documentation.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of casino games, experience in surveillance, and strong observation, math, and reporting skills.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of casino games, regulations and knowledge of game cheating/theft methods and related illegal activity preferred.
  • Casino surveillance experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Asset protection or loss prevention experience preferred.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Good observation skills, math skills and report writing skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor casino floor activities (table games, slots, cages and count room) and respond to suspicious behavior.
  • Utilize surveillance equipment to identify and record questionable activities.
  • Perform duties of Surveillance Supervisor in the Supervisor's absence.
  • Follow department policies, Internal Control regulations and Indiana Gaming Laws and Rules.
  • Observe gaming areas from a surveillance perspective and report deviations.
  • Keep Daily Shift Reports and write Surveillance Reports as necessary.
  • Obtain strong working knowledge of all equipment used by the department.

Job Description

Responsible for monitoring the activities of the casino floor (table games, slots, cages and count room). Utilizes the necessary surveillance equipment to respond to, identify and record questionable activities. Performs the duties and responsibilities of the Surveillance Supervisor in the Supervisor’s absence.

  • Performs all activities and job duties in accordance with department policies and procedures, Internal Control regulations and the Indiana Gaming Laws and Rules.
  • Acquires a thorough knowledge of all table games, gaming functions and methods of cheating/theft. Has the ability to observe all gaming areas from a Surveillance perspective.
  • Acquires knowledge of all other department’s procedures and is alert for deviations from the Internal Controls and the Indiana Gaming Laws and Rules. Reports all deviations to the Surveillance Supervisor and/or Director.
  • Is alert for any act of a suspicious and/or illegal nature and advises Surveillance Supervisor and/or Director when such activity is observed.
  • Performs close watches on casino areas and/or employees as directed by the Surveillance Supervisor and/or Director.
  • Makes entries on the Daily Shift Report and writes Surveillance Reports as necessary.
  • Obtains a strong working knowledge of all equipment used by the department.
