Job description

Reports to: General Manager

Position Overview: The Supervisor, Retail Operations is responsible for assisting the Manager with interfacing, consulting with qualified patients and caregivers, and administering approved medical and recreational marijuana products. The Supervisor oversees all activities related to the operation of the Dispensing Facility, including patient/customer identification and registration, record retention, product tracking, and inventory control as directed by the Manager.

Pay: $19.75 + Benefits + Tips

Schedule: Full-time, including weekends

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations governing the dispensing of cannabis products; supervise dispensary staff training and education in the absence of the Manager.
  2. Provide management and leadership within the Dispensing Facility, including monitoring all point of sale transactions.
  3. Manage patient logs, inventory receipt, storage, auditing, and ordering using BioTrackTHC software.
  4. Resolve inventory discrepancies and patient-staff conflicts as the responsible party at the facility.
  5. Develop privacy policies, ensure confidentiality of patient information, and maintain HIPAA compliance.
  6. Act as liaison internally among staff and management, and externally with law enforcement, health authorities, and the community.
  7. Direct department managers to achieve operational goals safely and effectively.
  8. Maintain records per public health law, ensure quality assurance, and implement product retesting, storage, disposal, and recall procedures.
  9. Assist in implementing security systems for tracking, record-keeping, and surveillance of all product stages.
  10. Foster a positive company culture emphasizing quality, teamwork, and high performance.
  11. Implement HR policies, conduct investigations, handle employee relations, and manage performance reviews.
  12. Oversee recruitment, employee training, and talent management strategies.
  13. Develop and manage compensation, benefits, and leave practices.
  14. Maintain facilities to promote employee productivity and safety.
  15. Manage company-wide communication and change initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • MED Badge required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years management experience with a focus on employee relations and talent management preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with HR activities, operations, and analysis.
  • Passion for retail operations including staffing, compliance, inventory, and theft prevention.
  • Strong leadership, conflict management, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Solid business acumen, management reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and work with senior executives.

Additional Abilities: Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, perform manual tasks, lift/move up to 10 pounds, communicate verbally, and work in a moderate noise environment.
