Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Lead/Supervisor for a first-shift production role in the United States. You will oversee daily production, staffing, ergonomics, and quality control while ensuring safety and accurate recordkeeping.

You will monitor machinery, ensure USDA standards, and communicate benefits to team members. Collaboration with other supervisors and ongoing training are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience as Lead or Supervisor in a production facility.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review daily production orders to ensure customer fulfillment.
• Ensure all positions are staffed prior to production start-up.
• Oversee team member morning exercises and job rotations to support ergonomics.
• Monitor machinery performance to ensure operational efficiency.
• Verify all workstations have passed USDA inspection.
• Promote workplace safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
• Ensure accurate shipments, proper inventory rotation, and correct product coding.
• Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to team members.
• Support team member engagement, training, retention, and counseling.
• Collaborate with other supervisors to resolve operational issues.
• Maintain records of reworked or returned products.
• Reinforce continuous quality education and standards.

Key responsibilities include:
