• Coordinate, prioritize and monitor the job performance of all Patient Access staff.
• Develop, train and assign staff in Inpatient/ Ambulatory Registration, Pre-Registration, Insurance Verification, Financial Counseling, Discharge Processing, Cashiering and Bed Control.
• Ensure compliant delivery of services and support patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Collaborate with Patient Accounts to ensure timely data for account collections.

In keeping with established Policies and Procedures, the Patient Access Supervisor develops, trains, and assigns staff that provide Inpatient and Ambulatory Registration, Pre-Registration, Insurance Verification, Financial Counseling, Discharge Processing, Cashiering, and Bed Control. The Supervisor assures the compliant delivery of these services, keeps self and staff focused on performance improvement, maintains and fosters a positive work environment among departmental and interdepartmental staff, and regularly monitors work output to identify deficiencies and successes. Promotes a courteous, patient-centered approach at every point of access, supports service recovery when concerns arise, and partners with leadership on patient satisfaction results and improvement initiatives. Responsible for coordination with Patient Accounts to ensure information required for effective collection of accounts is obtained accurately and in a timely manner.
