Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor, Operation to lead daily dispatch for delivery routes and linehaul movements.

You will coordinate driver assignments, plan routes, and ensure on-time service while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. You will supervise dispatch personnel, drive performance improvements, and partner with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, dispatch, or logistics.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety policies.

Responsibilities

This role ensures efficient routing, scheduling, communication, and execution of deliveries while maintaining high levels of customer service, safety, productivity, and compliance. The Supervisor, Operation works closely with drivers, warehouse personnel, customers, and leadership to ensure on-time service and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesDispatch OperationsManage daily dispatch activities for all delivery routes and linehaul movements.Coordinate driver assignments, route planning, and equipment utilization.Monitor delivery progress and proactively address service disruptions.Ensure timely communication of pickup and delivery schedules.Optimize routes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize service levels.Maintain accurate dispatch records and reporting.Team LeadershipSupervise and support dispatch personnel and drivers.Conduct daily huddles and operational meetings.Coach employees on performance expectations and company procedures.Foster a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and customer focus.Assist with staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management.Customer ServiceServe as the primary point of contact for operational escalations.Ensure customer commitments are met consistently.Communicate service updates, delays, and resolution plans to customers.Develop strong relationships with customers and operational partners.Safety & CompliancePromote compliance with all company safety policies and DOT regulations.Monitor hours of service, driver qualifications, and regulatory requirements.Investigate and document service failures, accidents, and operational incidents.Participate in safety audits and corrective action programs.Performance ManagementTrack and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including:On-Time Delivery (OTD)Route EfficiencyDriver ProductivityService FailuresCustomer SatisfactionEquipment UtilizationImplement corrective actions to improve operational performance.Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation.CollaborationWork closely with warehouse, transportation, customer service, and leadership teams.Coordinate peak-season planning and special projects.Assist with customer implementations, account launches, and operational transitions.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.Minimum 3-5 years of transportation, dispatch, or logistics experience.Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and dispatch software.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.Physical RequirementsAbility to work in an office and warehouse environment.Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use computer systems for extended periods.May require occasional after-hours, weekend, or on-call support.Success MeasuresA successful Supervisor, Operation will:Achieve and maintain high on-time delivery performance.Reduce service failures and operational costs.Develop and retain a high-performing dispatch and driver team.Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting operational growth.Company Benefits:MedicalDentalVision401k + Company MatchEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffFlexible Work Schedules (when possible)And more!Pay Range:$75,000 - $85,000*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
