Summary

The Assistant Manager, Operations is responsible for supporting daily operational activities to ensure efficient delivery, customer satisfaction, and team performance. This role oversees routing, dispatch, and in-home delivery operations while maintaining strong relationships with vendors, stores, and independent contractors. The position supervises customer service and routing staff, ensuring accurate order processing, timely deliveries, and effective resolution of shipping discrepancies or customer concerns. The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated leader with strong communication and customer service skills who can manage multiple operational priorities while maintaining high performance and service standards.

Essential Functions
  • Develops and maintains relations with vendors, stores, and independent contractors.
  • Ensures follow-up on shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and in-home damage claims.
  • Dispatches trucks using GPS technology.
  • Oversees in-home delivery for customers
  • Maintains monthly operating reports that include statistics and customer service scores.
  • Oversees Customer Service Representatives and Routers.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.
  • Directly supervises hourly on-site staff who handle day-to-day operations in data entry, customer service, order processing, and delivery.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and providing direction to employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Pay Range

$65,000.00 – $70,000.00 (anticipated starting salary range). The company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
