Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment seeks an inventory-focused supervisor to oversee park merchandise stock across locations. You will ensure SAP S/4HANA accuracy, manage cycle counts, and develop SOPs for stock flow and replenishment.

Your leadership will guide a team, coordinate with operations and visual merchandising, and support promotions and new product launches. You will monitor order fulfillment, investigate variances, and maintain min/max levels.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two years of related experience in inventory control, merchandise planning, retail stockroom management, or supply chain.
  • Minimum one year experience in a leadership role, managing a team, scheduling, training strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of an ERP or inventory management system; SAP S/4HANA experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and filtering large data sets.
  • Excellent math skills to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to create and interpret graphs.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability, with attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume transactional work.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise inventory control for all park merchandise locations, owning stock accuracy in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in SAP S/4HANA, including transfers, adjustments, write-offs, and cycle counts.
  • Develop, document, and maintain SOPs for stock flow, replenishment, and transfers.
  • Track order fulfillment from PO to location, monitor open orders and fill rates, escalate issues.
  • Research, document, and resolve inventory variances; implement corrective changes.
  • Set min/max levels by location and SKU based on sales velocity and seasonality.
  • Coordinate with operations and visual merchandising for price changes and markdowns.
  • Build and manage the cycle count program; lead annual physical inventory activities.
  • Process damaged, defective, and shrink-related merchandise; maintain documentation.
  • Monitor stockrooms for organization, labeling, and stock rotation.
  • Provide inventory support for promotions and new product launches.
  • Supervise and coach ambassadors; schedule and manage timecards in Kronos.
  • Handle mail order inquiries and merchandise guest services inbox.

What you get to do:

  • You’ll supervise inventory control for all park merchandise locations - owning stock accuracy in SAP S/4HANA, building the processes that keep product on the floor, and partnering closely with the warehouse, purchasing, and location teams to keep inventory moving.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in SAP S/4HANA, including merchandise product location transfers, adjustments, write-offs, and correction of system-to-physical discrepancies through cycle counts.
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for stock flow, replenishment, and transfers.
  • Track order fulfillment from purchase order through delivery to location; monitor open orders, fill rates, and expected arrival dates, and escalat-ing shorts, delays, and vendor discrepancies to operations team, Product Activation Manager and purchasing teams.
  • Research, document, and resolve inventory variances; identify root causes and implement corrective process changes.
  • Establish and maintain min/max levels by location and SKU; adjust based on sales velocity, seasonality, event calendars, and lead times.
  • Coordinating with operations and visual merchandising team to execute retail price changes and sale markdowns.
  • Build and manage the cycle count program; participate as a leader in the annual physical inventory for assigned locations, including preparation, count execution, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Process damaged, defective, and shrink-related merchandise per company policy and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Monitor location stockrooms for organization, accurate labeling, and proper stock rotation.
  • Provide inventory support for promotional layouts, merchandise events, and new product launches.
  • Supervise, assign tasks, and develop direct reports through training, feedback, and coaching; write and deliver performance appraisals.
  • Schedule ambassadors and manage timecards in Kronos.
  • Manage mail order inquiries and merchandise guest services inbox.
  • Perform department duty responsibilities as assigned.
  • Occasionally assist other locations and areas throughout the park as needed; other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

  • At least 18 years old.
  • A valid state driver's license; visiting students and military are required to have a valid driver's license from their state of residency, provide a copy of the DMV report, complete the Company Vehicle Driver Training class, and obtain a SWC driver's license.

  • Full-time availability, minimum five days per week.
  • Able to regularly use hands and fingers.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to positively interact with park guests and coworkers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or languages, and individuals with special needs.
  • Ability to self-motivate as well as motivate ambassadors.
  • Basic knowledge of financial terms for a revenue department.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Able to work independently and troubleshoot issues.
  • Theme park, resort, or high-volume seasonal retail experience preferred.
