Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a maintenance related field and four years experience in maintenance operations.
  • Or High School Diploma or GED and 6 years experience in maintenance operations.
  • Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments and directly supervise the department functions to ensure productivity and scheduling requirements are met at minimum cost.
  • Study, document, control and improve maintenance processes and procedures to achieve maximum productivity and minimum cost while meeting scheduling requirements.
  • Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance system and budgetary goals.
  • Supervise staff, conduct performance appraisals, coaching and counseling as needed.
  • Ensure safety rules and housekeeping standards are followed and enforce policies and procedures.

Job Summary:As a Supervisor, Maintenance, you will manage factory, building and office maintenance in a manner that maximizes productivity, meets scheduling requirements, minimizes costs and promotes a safe work environment, in accordance with company policies and procedures.Essential Functions:Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments and directly supervise the department functions to ensure maximum productivity and scheduling requirements are met at the minimum cost.Study, document, control and improve all maintenance processes and procedures to achieve maximum productivity, minimum cost while meeting scheduling requirements. Ensure documentation is easily understood.Maintain budgetary goals.Manage the maintenance of existing equipment, establish new equipment requirements for improving reliability, installation of new equipment, building construction, etc.Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance system.Determine performance standards. Ensure employees understanding and compliance with performance standards through establishment of accountability for work. Complete performance appraisals and conduct coaching and counseling sessions.Ensure all safety and work rules and regulations are followed. Ensure departmental housekeeping standards are met.Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to handle multiple tasks and projects.Ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability to interface with a variety of individuals or groups on a frequent basis.Ability to work with limited direction and supervision, while demonstrating good judgment and strict confidence.Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.Must successfully complete any training or certification courses required to support or strengthen position.Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.Working Conditions/Physical Demands:Required to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or use controls, tools or equipment.May require the ability to use a keyboard and other office equipment.May require specific vision abilities that include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.May be required to perform concentrated work for extended periods of time.May be required to lift, carry or exert items or objects up to 50 pounds.May be required to perform duties beyond standard business hours.Minimum Requirements:Associate degree in a maintenance related field and four years experience in maintenance operations or a related function ORHigh School Diploma or GED and 6 years experience in maintenance operations or a related functionValid Drivers License
