Job summary

Liberty Regional Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the Laboratory department and ensure quality and compliance with accreditation standards.

You will analyze specimens, obtain data for diagnosis, and provide safe, efficient services for patients from infants to geriatric. The role requires leadership of up to 30 personnel and collaboration with medical staff while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education level equivalent to four (4) years of college with concentration in medical technology or related field preferred.
• Current Medical Technology Certificate licensed by AMT, ASCP, HHS, NCA, or ISCLT.
• Formal Training: Clinical competence in Medical Technology preferred.
• Licensure, Certifications & Registration: current license to practice medical technology in the state of Georgia. BLS preferred.
• Three to five years experience in laboratory management or related field; intermediate computer skills with word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsible for analyzing specimens and obtaining data for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Provides safe and efficient laboratory services to infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatric patient populations. Communicates with medical staff, other departments and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality. Responsible for the supervision of up to thirty (30) professional and skilled personnel.JOB QUALIFICATIONS1.
