Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) in Worcester, MA seeks a Supervisor I to join the MCI team, guiding programming, milieu management, and staff supervision in a collaborative, mission-driven setting.

The role requires a Master's degree in a relevant field, clinical licensure, and at least two years of supervised counseling plus one year of supervisory experience; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of programming and milieu management.
  • Provide individual and group supervision to staff.
  • Ensure staff remain current in all required trainings.
  • Oversee and assign caseloads; maintain own caseload when necessary.
  • Develop and manage group schedules.
  • Oversee support requests and develop/implement treatment plans.
  • Manage crises within the program and follow up with staff and individuals served.
  • Monitor assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Complete utilization management reviews with the Site Coordinator.
  • Attend and facilitate staff meetings and weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Conduct chart reviews to ensure BHN standards are met.
  • Monitor service coordination for individuals served.
  • Submit data into EIM/ESM and train staff to ensure timely submissions.
  • Create staff evaluations and obtain Program Director approval.
  • Maintain direct service productivity as established by the Program.
  • Maintain clinical licensure and continuing education requirements.
  • Participate in supervisor on-call rotation.
  • Maintain communication with funding sources or contracts.
  • Collaborate with Program Director to ensure service quality and recruitment needs.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of program performance and staff.

What You Will Do
  • Provide oversight of programming and milieu management.
  • Provide individual and group supervision to staff.
  • Ensure staff remain current in all required trainings.
  • Provide oversight and assignment of caseloads; maintain an individual caseload when necessary.
  • Develop and manage group schedules.
  • Provide oversight of support requests and develop/implement treatment intervention plans, as appropriate.
  • Manage crises within the program, providing immediate support and guidance to staff and individuals served, and ensure appropriate follow-up, documentation, and resolution.
  • Monitor the formulation and completion of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Complete utilization management reviews in a timely manner, working collaboratively with the program Site Coordinator to ensure continued stay for individuals served, as appropriate.
  • Attend and facilitate staff meetings and weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Conduct chart reviews to ensure compliance with BHN standards.
  • Monitor service coordination for individuals served.
  • Serve as an authorized representative for completion and submission of data into the Enterprise Invoice/Service Management (EIM/ESM) business service within the Virtual Gateway Organization Management system; designate and train staff to submit data, providing ongoing oversight to ensure quality and timely submissions.
  • Create staff evaluations; review and receive approval from the Program Director.
  • Maintain direct service productivity as established by the Program.
  • Maintain clinical licensure and continuing education requirements.
  • Participate in supervisor on-call rotation.
  • Maintain communication with funding sources or other contracts, as appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with the Program Director to ensure quality of services, identify staffing needs, and recruit, screen, and hire program staff.
  • Provide effective ongoing evaluation of program performance and staff, instituting appropriate discipline as needed.
  • Represent BHN at local and state meetings, as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by supervisor.
Who You Are
  • Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, Education Counseling, Medicine, Mental Health, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, Rehabilitative Counseling, or Social Work required.
  • Independent clinical licensure required.
  • Two years of supervised clinical counseling experience, and at least one full-time equivalent year of clinical supervisory experience required.
  • Commitment to empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration for individuals served.
  • Lived experience in recovery preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work within a team setting.
