THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE. Under the general direction of the UISOD Chief of Staff/Supervisor II, the Supervisor I will assist with all activities related to the organizational direction, strategic planning and innovation, policy and procedure review and conformity, project, workload, and resource management for the UISOD. In addition, the incumbent will assist with personnel and administrative support to the UISOD. The Supervisor I under the direction of the Supervisor II supports the coordination of various business operations including attendance and time management reporting, budgeting, procurement, personnel management matters, information technology, asset management, contracts, training coordination, facilities management, and safety and security protocols. The incumbent is dedicated to upholding the Department's and Branch's mission and vision, collaborating with employees and leadership at all levels to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of assigned operational areas to meet quality objectives. The incumbent is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure administrative activities are successfully carried out. Facilitates the prompt communication of tasks, policy and procedural updates, and administrative workload activities to enhance efficiency and support optimal performance within the UI Centers. The Supervisor I will work closely with their direct reports and the various UI Centers to facilitate meetings, solicit feedback, and partner with the respective offices to provide resources and support. Additionally, will connect key stakeholders, develop actionable plans, analyze relevant data, formulate recommendations, and present insights to drive organizational culture, development, and alignment. The Supervisor I will work collaboratively with the UISOD team, briefs and advises the Supervisor II, exercises initiative, independence of action, originality, and demonstrates tact and good judgment. Position exist in Orange County/San Diego County. Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
