Are you a data-driven problem solver who enjoys going beyond the numbers to uncover the story they tell? We’re looking for a forward-thinking Senior Data Analytics & Reporting professional to help shape how our Department accesses, understands, and uses data.

This role goes beyond traditional reporting. You’ll leverage advanced analytics, AI, automation, and modern data visualization to help build a Data as a Service capability—making trusted data, insights, reporting, and decision support more accessible, timely, and actionable across the organization.

As a strategic partner to business stakeholders, you’ll translate complex questions into data-driven solutions, identify opportunities to improve how information is delivered, and use emerging technologies to accelerate analysis, automate routine reporting, uncover patterns, and deliver insights at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Build and evolve Data as a Service capabilities that provide stakeholders with timely, trusted, and actionable data and insights.
• Leverage AI and machine learning capabilities to accelerate analysis, identify trends and anomalies, generate insights, and strengthen decision support.
• Explore and implement AI-powered analytics and reporting solutions, including natural-language querying, automated insights, intelligent dashboards, and conversational access to data.
• Translate business questions into scalable analytics products, dashboards, reports, KPIs, and self-service data solutions.
• Use automation and AI to streamline recurring reporting and reduce manual data preparation and analysis.
• Partner with business leaders to understand information needs and proactively identify opportunities where data, analytics, and AI can create value.
• Develop compelling data stories that translate complex analysis into clear recommendations and actionable business insights.
• Establish and promote best practices for data quality, governance, definitions, accessibility, and the responsible use of AI-generated insights.
• Evaluate emerging analytics and AI technologies and identify practical opportunities to incorporate them into the Department’s data ecosystem.
• Help foster a culture where teams can confidently find, understand, and use data to make better decisions.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
