Under general direction of the Chief of the Management and Staff Services Branch, the Supervisor II will serve as the Chief of the Health, Safety, and Security Bureau (HSSB). The HSSB is responsible for safety and protection of the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) employees through emergency and safety programs, physical security, and investigations of workplace policy violations. The Supervisor II leads a team of professionals who provide exceptional customer service and innovative solutions to support CDSS staff in a safe and secure work environment.
Success in this role requires sound decision-making, visionary leadership, and a strong relationship-building mindset to achieve the strategic goals of the HSSB and CDSS.
