Job summary

Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, IN is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations of food production, receiving, storage and patient meal service. This swing shift role requires a manager with strong organizational skills and experience supervising staff to ensure efficient, safe operations.

The position reports to the Food Services Manager, offers a base rate of $20.76/hour with compensation determined by experience, and a comprehensive benefits package for qualifying

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of Food Services experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise food production and patient meal service staff.
• Oversee daily operations of all food receiving, storage, production and service staff.
• Ensure adequate daily staffing and smooth meal delivery.
• Monitor equipment function, meal tray lines, and sanitation per IN Health requirements.
• Circulate through storage, preparation areas and dish room to ensure proper handling and sanitation.

What you need to know about this position:

• Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, the Food Service Supervisor is responsible for a variety of supervisory functions for food production and patient meal servicestaff.
• This position is responsible for daily operations of all food receiving, storage, production and service staff.
• This position does require management experience and understanding.
• This position is highly visible to department customers and patients and must maintain structure and organization of processes.
• This position ensures adequate daily staffing, observes equipment function, meal tray lines andpatient meal delivery,to ensure all are running smoothly and efficiently.
• In this position, you will circulate through the food storage and preparationareas and dish room to ensure all food is handled correctly and the cleaning and sanitizing of waresand equipment isbeing doneaccording to IN State Dept. of Health requirements.
• This is a swing shift/relief supervisor role with varied day and evening hours.
• The base hourly rate for this position is $20.76. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
