OceanaGold Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Shift Supervisor for Haile Gold Mine in the United States. The role ensures safe, efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance on loading and drilling equipment in a rotating schedule.

You will lead technicians, coordinate with operations, and prioritize safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of technical experience in mining maintenance with emphasis on loaders, hydraulic shovels, excavators, and drills.
• 2 years in a supervisory or equivalent role.
• Direct practical experience with mining equipment including Komatsu PC 3000/4000, CAT 6020, 992/993, 988H loaders, electric drive haulers and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review and direct technicians on scheduled and unscheduled repair activities with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate with operations supervisors and dispatchers to align with the maintenance schedule.
• Assign work orders and ensure proper job plans and notes are included.
• Demonstrate visible leadership by spending at least 50% of time interacting with technicians.
• Attend shift meetings to communicate machine status, priorities and changes.

The Maintenance Shift Supervisor ensures that all planned / unplanned maintenance activities for the for loading and drilling equipment is properly executed in asafe and efficient manner. Work closely with other teams and supervisors within mobile maintenance and other departments across the site. This is arotating schedule.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Review and direct technicians on all scheduled / unscheduled repair activities, ensuring safe / efficientexecution.
• Discuss upcoming schedules and plans withpeers
• Coordinate with the operations supervisors / dispatcher for all scheduled activities. Ensure the sequencing matches the schedule asdeveloped.
• Assign and distribute the work order packages which include appropriate standard job plans, single point lessons, oil sample labels to the technicians.
• Spend at minimum 50 % of time on “ visible felt leadership” interacting with the technicians and service contractors.
• Attend meetings when on shift to communicate current machine status &priority, unplanned sick leave, parts issues, required schedule changes and uncompleted work orders requiring rescheduling.
• Proactive interaction with Reactive and PM Technicians – supporting and executing safety / reliability improvements to theequipment.
• Work order and operating systemmanagement
• Develop crew support for other continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years technical experience in the Mining Maintenance Sector with an emphasis on loaders, hydraulic shovels, excavators, platform drills and boomdrills
• 2 years’ experience as asupervisor or an equivalent supervisory position
• Direct practical experience working with mining equipment, particularly Komatsu PC 3000 & 4000 , CAT 6020 excavators, CAT 992 K, 993 K, 988 H front end loaders, electric drive haul trucks and various CAT ancillaryequipment.
• Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician degree preferred but notrequired

• Provide technical support and training to the PM and repair technicians.
• Submit—at minimum—one Field Level Risk Assessmentdaily.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear andsee.
• Must be Fit for Duty: Able to lift and carry 50 lbs overhead, climb ladders, work at heights,etc.
• Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions: wind, rain,sun.
• Work is in asurface mine setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature andhumidity.
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in amine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment asrequired.
