Job summary

OceanaGold is seeking a hands-on supervisor for hourly operations technicians at our Haile operation in the USA. You will focus on safety, environmental compliance, asset protection and production, guiding a multi-disciplinary crew.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of progressive process operations supervision, a strong safety record and the ability to develop teams while working with other departments to optimize equipment and procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven safety record and ability to support safety, environmental, and production goals.
• Minimum of five (5) years progressive process operations experience.
• Proven ability to supervise numerous employees at once.
• Ability to facilitate crew lineouts, safety meetings, etc.
• Ability to follow company policies and hold others accountable to them.
• Experience with computer operations is preferred.

Job Description

This position is responsible for supervising hourly operations technicians. The supervisor must be able to focus on safety, environmental compliance, asset protection, and production simultaneously. This is ahands-on supervisor role responsible for managing operations activities, which includes, but may not be limited to all of the gold processing facilities, tailing systems and water systems. This supervisor will interact with many different work groups and departments and must be able to work well withothers.

• Actively drive HGM’s behavior-based safety and environmental stewardship culture.
• Directly supervise, support, and professionally develop process operationscrew
• Collaboration with other departments whenneeded
• Provide training and mentoring foroperators
• Develop asafe, productive, and high-performing crew while working collaboratively within the framework of the site team and companyenterprise
• Conduct individual employee evaluations
• Update employee training records and statusupgrades
• Establish and refine operating strategies and procedures to ensure equipment is utilized to its optimumextent
• Perform medium-user duties including: Success Factors Time entry and approval, Pronto (CMMS), work requests, warehouse requests, Support of Process “ Our Safe Behaviors”program
• Perform other duties asassigned

Qualifications

• Proven safety record and ability to support work group in achievements of safety, environmental, and production goals required
• Minimum of five ( 5 ) years progressive process operations experiencerequired
• Proven ability to supervise numerous employees at oncerequired
• Ability to facilitate crew lineouts, safety meeting etc.required
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures and to hold fellow employees/contractors accountable to follow company policies and proceduresrequired
• Experience with computer operationspreferred
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this positionrequired
• Proven ability to perform essential function of the positionrequired
• Five ( 5 ) years of responsible supervisory experience in an industrial operation ispreferred.
• Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator’s Licensepreferred
• Minimum HighSchool Diploma or equivalent, or highereducation

Additional Information

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in both office and operational mining environments.
• Ability to regularly access active mining and processing areas to support operational teams, conduct site visits, investigations, coaching, and workforce engagementactivities.
• Ability to walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs and access elevated work areas asrequired.
• Ability to wear and use mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE).
