Job summary

Jobtailor in Atlanta, GA seeks an experienced Customs Operations Manager to oversee customs activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a team of customs specialists. You will manage import/export entries, build strong relationships with brokers and officials, and drive process improvements while maintaining high client service standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in customs operations or customs brokerage.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations, laws, and procedures.
  • Experience working with customs officials, brokers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of import and export processes and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures in the operating region.
  • Experience with the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system.
  • Familiarity with NAFTA, CAFTA, and TPP trade agreements.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global environment.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with customs-related software and systems such as ACE and CustomsLink is a plus.
