Meriwether Godsey is hiring a Supervisor to support management in all operations at a private co-ed college preparatory school in North Andover, MA. The position is Full-time, with a 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekday schedule and occasional catering events.

The role requires leadership in food service, strong guest relations, and the ability to supervise staff during catered events. Competitive pay and benefits accompany growth opportunities within our team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or minimum 2 years supervisory experience in food service/catering required.
• Must be able to pass an FBI background check.
• Serving and supervisory experience in dining/food service is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Emerging leadership and strong client/customer relationships are valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist management in training and supervising staff during catered events to ensure high-quality service and presentation.
• Greet guests, respond to requests courteously, and manage guest experience.
• Serve and replenish beverages and food; clear dishes at the end of each course or function.
• Monitor dining area setup and station maintenance to meet quality standards.
• Assist with event closeout tasks including inventory and food storage.
• Foster an inclusive environment while maintaining strong client relationships.

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Supervisor who will be responsible for assisting management in all aspects of operations at a private co-ed college preparatory school located in North Andover, MA.

Full-time: M-F from 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. and catering events as needed

$21 Per Hour

What The Supervisor Will Do

• Assist management in the training and supervision of staff during all aspects of catered events to ensure high-quality service standards and presentations are met.
• Greet and welcome guests, and respond to specific requests in a courteous manner.
• Serve and replenish beverages and food; remove dishes and utensils at the end of each course, meal, or function
• Monitor and supervise setup and maintenance of the dining area and food stations to ensure quality standards.
• Participate in event clean-up and assist with inventory, food storage, and other closeout tasks.
• Foster an inclusive environment for all staff and guests, while maintaining effective client and customer-centric relationships.

What The Supervisor Will Need

• Associate’s Degree or minimum 2 years supervisory experience in food service (BOH or FOH)/catering required
• Must be able to pass an FBI background check
• Working knowledge of dining and retail operations
• Possess and exhibit the drive to provide exceptional service
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Emerging leadership skills and strong customer service orientation
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment while fostering strong client and customer relationships
• ServSafe Food Handlers Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
