Amity Foundation is seeking a Supervising Counselor to support daily programming, supervise staff, and ensure quality AOD counseling services within our prison and re-entry initiatives.

The role reports to the Program Director and Associate Program Director, supervises six AOD counselors and OMCP mentors, and coordinates training, intake, and internship hours to maintain compliance and high standards.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience as a certified AOD Counselor at a responsibility no less than Counselor III.
• Certified as an AOD Counselor with an organization approved by DHCS.
• Knowledge of ISUDTP contractual requirements.
• Excellent organization, leadership and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Operational knowledge of MS Office Suite and ARMS.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and participant information.
• Demonstrate ethical behavior and safeguarding of participants.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise approximately six AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Track and monitor Contractor staff performance and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Assess and monitor counseling staff progress toward AOD certification.
• Supervise orientation and intake processes for new participants.
• Approve and monitor relapse prevention/CBI action plan development.
• Track participant progress and documentation of ARMS.
• Provide training to AOD Counseling staff and OMCP Mentors.
• Coordinate and supervise OMCP Mentors assigned to the program.
• Verify internship hours and maintain records.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters and related staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Contractor.
