Job summary

Amity Foundation in Vacaville seeks a Supervising Counselor to lead a team of AOD staff and mentors in daily program operations. You will supervise counselors, monitor performance, and ensure ongoing AOD certification progress while coordinating intake and program coverage to meet contract requirements.

The role emphasizes training, documentation, and collaboration with partners to maintain high standards of care within the facility setting.

Qualifications

• Certified as an AOD Counselor with a DHCS-approved organization.
• Two years of experience as a certified AOD counselor.
• Strong leadership, organization and supervision abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Track contractor staff performance and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor staff progress toward maintaining AOD certification.
• Oversee orientation and intake processes for new participants.
• Coordinate and supervise OMCP Mentors and related training.
• Verify internship hours and maintain ARMS documentation for accuracy.
