Job summary

Amity Foundation seeks a Supervising Counselor to support program leadership in jail and re-entry initiatives. You will supervise AOD counselors and OMCP mentors, ensuring coverage of CBI components and adherence to contractual requirements.

The role emphasizes overseeing staff performance, training, and documentation while coordinating with CDCR and partner institutions in an incarcerated setting.

Qualifications

• Certified as an AOD Counselor with organization approved by DHCS.
• Two years of experience as a certified AOD counselor.
• Current AOD Certification with organization recognized by the DHCS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Track and monitor contractor staff performance and corrective actions.
• Monitor staff progress toward maintaining AOD certification.
• Oversee orientation and intake processes for new participants.
• Monitor relapse prevention/CBI action plans and progress.
