Job Overview

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office seeks a qualified employee with a diverse background to serve over 1.4 million Bronx residents and promote fair justice. The role involves assisting the Chief of Professional Staff Training and Development in training staff, creating and presenting training programs, and managing training logistics and databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing training programs for professional and legal staff.
• Create training materials, including PowerPoint presentations and guides.
• Monitor staff productivity and training completion, ensuring database accuracy.
• Stay updated on legal changes and brief the team accordingly.
• Manage staff participation in DCAS NYCityLearn system and approve class attendance.
• Develop and present lectures on relevant topics.

Minimum Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active attorney status.
• At least four years’ experience in a District Attorney’s Office, with felony trial or appellate experience.
• Familiarity with CPL 160.59, discovery protocols, and digital management systems.
• Ability to guide the public on CPL 160.59 motions and explain legal processes.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and presentation skills.
• U.S. Citizenship and NY residency required on first day.

Additional Information

Salary range: $147,000 – $188,000. The position offers opportunities for federal loan forgiveness and requires NY residency. The NYC Department is committed to diversity and equal opportunity employment.
