Join the legal frontline and champion your expertise in the Law and Regulation area for Allstate! The ideal candidate will have a passion for combatting fraud against the insurance industry.

In this role, you will leverage your litigation and investigative skills to defend against fraudulent claims filed against the company and pursue affirmative actions, including RICO-based litigation.

You will apply your legal writing skills and negotiate complex matters within the New York Metro area.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner with Claims/SIU to defend against fraudulent claims in No-Fault and other matters.
2. Research, prepare, file, and litigate fraud actions, including RICO and other affirmative litigation.
3. Develop litigation strategies and negotiate complex cases.
4. Review files and strategize for resolution.
5. Draft motions, legal briefs, and discovery documents.
6. Conduct depositions and examinations under oath.
7. Represent the company in arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
8. Manage court appearances in State and Federal courts.
9. Draft motions and settlement documents.

Education

• Juris Doctor and active New York State Bar membership.
• Federal Court admission required if selected.

Experience

• SIU/No-Fault experience preferred.
• Federal Court experience preferred.
• Ability to manage complex litigation.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Discretion and confidentiality.
• Ethics and integrity.
• Insurance industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of legal holds and discovery.

Location and Travel

• Remote within New York, with travel to courts and other locations as needed.
• Coverage includes all five boroughs and surrounding areas.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not include supervisory duties.
