Join the legal frontline and champion your expertise in the Law and Regulation area at Allstate!

The ideal candidate will have a passion for combating fraud against the insurance industry.

In this role, you will utilize your litigation and investigative skills to defend against fraudulent claims and pursue Affirmative Actions, including RICO-based litigation, on behalf of the Company. You will apply your legal writing skills and negotiate complex matters within the New York Metro area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Claims/SIU to defend against fraudulent claims in No-Fault and other matters
  • Research, prepare, file, and litigate fraud actions, including RICO and other Affirmative Actions
  • Develop litigation strategies and negotiate complex matters
  • Review files and strategize for resolution
  • Draft discovery, motions, and legal briefs
  • Conduct depositions and examinations under oath
  • Attend arbitrations, mediations, and trials in State and Federal Courts
  • Manage court appearances and draft motions
  • Negotiate settlements and prepare related documents
Education
  • Juris Doctor and active New York State Bar membership
  • Federal Court admission required if selected
Experience
  • SIU/No-Fault experience preferred
  • Federal Court experience preferred
  • Ability to manage complex litigation
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Ethics and integrity
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of legal holds and discovery
Location and Travel
  • Remote within New York; travel to courts and other locations as needed
  • Coverage for all NY Boroughs and surrounding areas
Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not include supervisory duties.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $95,700 to $170,925, based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate will be required to undergo a background check.
