Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation seeks Traveling Superintendents for ground-up retail and grocery projects nationwide. Lead Superintendents with proven ability to run ground-up big-box, grocery, or retail builds are preferred and must be comfortable traveling project to project.

The role includes managing field operations, subcontractors, schedule, safety, inspections, QA/QC, and owner coordination. RV allowance is provided, and a bonus program can reach up to 30% of base salary.

Qualifications

• Lead Superintendent with ground-up big-box, grocery or retail experience.
• Willingness to travel project to project and be away from home as needed.
• Experience with ALDI, Home Depot, Costco, Lowe's, Target, Walmart, Sam's Club or similar retail builders.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage the entire field operation: subcontractors, schedule, safety, inspections, QA/QC, and owner coordination.
• Oversee ground-up sitework to turnover on retail/grocery projects; ensure safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate logistics across multiple sites during travel-heavy assignments.

Representing a national General Contractor seeking experienced Traveling Superintendents for ground-up retail and grocery projects.

This is a strong opportunity for a true Lead Superintendent with experience independently running ground-up big-box, grocery, or retail projects and who is comfortable traveling project to project.

• Looking for Lead Superintendents
• Strong preference for experience with ALDI, Home Depot, Costco, Lowe’s, Target, Walmart, Sam’s Club, or similar big-box/grocery projects.
• Ground-up project experience in the $20M–$30M range is highly preferred.
• Must be comfortable independently managing the entire field operation, including subcontractors, schedule, safety, inspections, QA/QC, and owner coordination.
• Heavy travel required, with Superintendents typically returning home one weekend per month.
• Bonus program up to 30% of base salary.
• RV allowance available for traveling Superintendents.

Core Build: Sitework/civil, foundations and concrete, structural steel, exterior envelope, roofing, interior build-out, MEP/FP coordination, paving, and project turnover.
