Build People is seeking an experienced Superintendent for luxury restaurant construction projects in the Dallas area. You will lead day-to-day field operations, coordinating with project teams, architects, designers, and specialty subcontractors to deliver exceptional finishes on schedule and within budget.

  • Proven experience delivering high-end, bespoke restaurant or hospitality projects.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant construction, including specialty kitchens and complex MEP coordination.
  • Experience with high-end architectural finishes and custom interiors.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple specialty trades and vendors simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and subcontractor-management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, or similar construction technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field operations on high-end restaurant construction projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, specialty trades, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Manage construction sequencing and maintain project schedules.
  • Coordinate complex MEP, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and kitchen systems.
  • Oversee installation of custom millwork, stone, tile, flooring, ceilings, lighting, decorative finishes, and specialty features.
  • Work closely with architects, interior designers, owners, and consultants to resolve field issues.
  • Conduct daily subcontractor coordination and site meetings.
  • Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals for constructability and coordination.
  • Maintain strict quality-control standards throughout construction.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.
  • Maintain a strong jobsite safety culture. Manage punch list, commissioning, closeout, and turnover.
  • Proactively identify potential schedule and coordination issues and develop solutions.
  • Represent the GC professionally with clients, designers, and trade partners.

Job description

Our client is a highly respected Commercial General Contractor with an impressive portfolio of high-end hospitality and commercial projects. With a strong pipeline of new work, they are looking to add experienced Superintendents with a proven background in high-end, bespoke restaurant construction.

This is an opportunity to work on distinctive restaurant projects where quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and execution are critical.

We are looking for construction professionals who understand that luxury restaurant construction requires a different level of coordination and finish quality — from complex MEP systems and custom millwork to specialty kitchens, architectural finishes, lighting, and detailed interiors.

The Role

As Superintendent, you will take ownership of the day-to-day field operations on high-end restaurant projects, working closely with the Project Manager, ownership, architects, designers, consultants, and specialty subcontractors.

You will be responsible for coordinating the construction process from mobilization through final completion, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the exacting standards expected of a luxury hospitality environment.
