Location/Territory: South Florida (Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach)
Position Summary
The Superintendent is the on-site leader and field quarterback responsible for managing one project from inception through closeout. This role oversees schedule execution, subcontractor coordination, quality control, safety, inspections, documentation, and communication with the Project Manager and leadership team. This is not a working superintendent role and does not require self-performance of construction work.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury restaurant construction, including restaurants in hospitality, hotel, country club, or high-end commercial construction.
- Current or recent experience with a commercial general contractor.
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen construction.
- Excellent plan reading, layout, and building trade knowledge.
- Proficiency with Procore.
- Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend project turnover meetings with the estimating and project teams.
- Serve as the primary liaison between ownership, landlords, architects, vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and the Project Manager.
- Verify critical dimensions, sequencing, manpower requirements, and scheduling milestones.
- Drive and update project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Coordinate and lead weekly subcontractor and safety meetings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
- Manage daily reports, weekly safety reports, RFIs, change logs, inspections, and Procore documentation.
- Coordinate all required inspections and permit-related activities.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with company standards.
- Complete project closeout activities and punch-list management.
- Maintain constant communication with the Project Manager and company leadership.
Superintendent Expectations
