Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to oversee our Student Housing Projects. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned professional to bring their expertise in student housing and assisted living construction to a growing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a focus on student housing and assisted living facilities. This position requires a hands‑on approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

PLEASE NOTE: FOR THIS PROJECT, THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION. You will be based in Tampa and traveling to Gainesville for this project, with following projects anywhere across Florida.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
• Allocate resources for assigned projects.
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Manage the day‑to‑day operational aspects of a project and scope.
• Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards.
• Minimize our exposure and risk on a project.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Track and report project costs and scheduling.
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
• Plan and schedule project timelines.
• Constantly monitor and report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on student housing and assisted living facilities.
• Proven track record of successfully overseeing and completing construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
• Excellent knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, quality standards, and safety standards in construction.
• Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to direct and coordinate the work of others.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software.
• A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Demonstrated understanding of the technical aspects of construction, materials, and building codes.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Physical strength and stamina to work on construction sites in various weather conditions.
