Job summary

Jobot on the South Shore is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations, supervise subcontractors, and keep projects moving from mobilization through closeout. You will work closely with the Project Manager, owners, architects, and field staff to deliver high-quality results on complex multifamily, healthcare, academic, and commercial projects across Massachusetts.

Strong scheduling, safety, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Lead Construction Superintendent.
• Commercial General Contractor experience.
• Experience with multifamily, healthcare, commercial, academic, or similar projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong understanding of construction safety and quality standards.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
• Strong scheduling and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Massachusetts construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day field operations on assigned construction projects.

• Establish and maintain project schedules.
• Coordinate daily construction activities and sequencing.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and weekly project meetings.
• Monitor workmanship, quality control, and project progress.
• Ensure work is being performed safely and in accordance with company standards.
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
• Coordinate inspections and resolve field issues.
• Identify schedule conflicts and develop solutions before they impact the project.
• Work closely with the Project Manager on budget, schedule, and project execution.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation.
• Coordinate deliveries, site logistics, and material handling.
• Manage punch list and project closeout.
• Serve as a leader and mentor to Assistant Superintendents and other field staff.
