Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Superintendent in the Boston market to support field operations on high-profile multifamily construction projects. You will work with an experienced field team, manage site activities, and help drive schedules, budgets, and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, hands-on construction experience, and the drive to advance toward a Superintendent role within a growing GC in the Boston area.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial construction experience.
  • Experience in the field for a general contractor.
  • Multifamily, residential, or large-scale commercial experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, schedules, and sequencing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and project teams.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Superintendent in the management of construction activities, ensuring compliance with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Overseeing the daily operations at the construction site, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
  • Reading and understanding blueprints, building codes, and project scheduling.
  • Ensuring all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety programs, requirements, and work rules.
  • Handling risk management issues by implementing proactive strategies and responding to issues as they arise.
  • Managing subcontractors effectively, ensuring their tasks are completed as expected, and addressing any issues or delays.
  • Working closely with the project team to address any potential obstacles and quickly resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure that the work meets or exceeds standards, that schedules are being followed, and that workers are adhering to safety rules and regulations.

What We’re Looking For
