Job Description

Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent in New York City, NY. This Superintendent will be working on various hospitality focused projects throughout NYC.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule and maintains reports accurately describing project status.
• Responsible for timely and cost effective field coordination, quality control, and daily supervision of subcontracted work forces.
• Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives regularly. Large projects may involve multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and other personnel when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs subcontractor activities within ground‑up residential projects.
• Analyzes manpower, material and equipment requirements, and interfaces those requirements with others as directed by the supervising superintendent.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
• Prepares reports and forecasts as required and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field experience on commercial projects; high‑end amenities experience is a big plus.
• Experience includes supervisory responsibilities such as General Foreman, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent.
• Luxury hotel or boutique project experience desired.
• Well‑developed communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills required.

Compensation

Salary range: $120,000–$180,000. Eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
