Job summary

Structure Tone Boston, part of STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent to support our projects. You will lead day-to-day field supervision, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate subcontractors on ground-up construction efforts in the Boston area.

The role requires 5+ years of field experience, supervisory capability, and strong communication and organizational skills. A discretionary bonus is available based on performance within a dynamic project environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field construction experience.
• Experience in supervisory roles such as General Foreman or Assistant Superintendent.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule and tracks status reports.
• Oversees timely, cost-effective field coordination and quality control.
• Reviews progress with the Project Manager and client representatives.
• Ensures safety standards are implemented and followed on site.
• Directs subcontractor activities on ground-up construction projects.
• Analyzes manpower, materials, and equipment needs.
• Implements field policies and reports on progress.
• Maintains safe operation of tools and equipment.
• Coordinates lock-out/tag-out with subcontractors for utilities.
• Manages QA/QC and client engineering specs.

Structure Tone Boston, part of STO Building Group is looking for a Superintendent with to support our projects. The Superintendent is responsible for the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

• Prepares the project schedule, maintains reports accurately describing project status
• Responsible for the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects
• Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis. Large projects include multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs sub-contractor activities within ground up construction projects
• Analyzes manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interfaces the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction Management
• Prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
• Coordination of Lock-out Tag-out with responsible subcontractors of utilities such as Nitrogen, Vacuum, Compressed Air, RODI, and Steam
• Manage QA/QC and understanding of client engineering specifications or requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years minimum of field experience.
• Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Well developed, communications, interpersonal, organizational and team work skills are required.

Salary: $125K - $200K

Compensation: In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
