Michael Page is seeking a Superintendent for a well-established GC focused on multifamily and podium deck projects. This role offers growth toward a senior level position as the company scales through 2025.

The successful candidate will oversee on-site subcontractors, ensure quality workmanship, and collaborate with the Project Manager to produce master schedules, daily unit inspections, and timely reporting of deficiencies. Strong leadership and construction software knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–15 years of relevant construction experience.
• Previous Multifamily or Podium Deck/Post Tension experience preferred.
• Proven experience managing projects successfully from start to finish.
• Team leader with effective communication skills.
• Previous multifamily experience.
• Construction Management degree preferred.
• Construction software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, maintain and manage project schedules in partnership with the Project Manager.
• Develop a Master Project Schedule with activities and logic sequencing.
• Conduct daily inspections of units and maintain a three-week schedule for owners, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Supervise all on-site subcontractors and ensure workmanship quality.
• Mediate issues between subcontractors, suppliers and staff.
• Administer first aid when necessary and manage material requests/deliveries.
• Oversee field construction processes and coordinate third party inspections.

Our client is a GC whose portfolio consists of more than a billion in completed construction projects with a special focus on the Multifamily sector. They have been in business for over 75 years and continue to project enormous growth in 2023. They are specifically looking for a Superintendent to develop into a senior level role over the next couple years while they continue to expand.

Job Description

Scheduling

• The Superintendent shall work in partnership with the Project Manager for creating, updating, maintaining and managing all the schedules for the project.
• Ability to create a Master Project Schedule with comprehension of required construction activities and logic sequencing.
• Perform daily inspection of units and prepare, maintain and distribute the three-week schedule for Owner/subcontractors and suppliers.

On-site Management

• Directly responsible for supervising all on-site project sub-contractors.
• Must act as a quality control representative to monitor and ensure the correction of any deficient workmanship and/or below quality work.
• Act as mediator for subcontractor/supplier and staff related issues.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Approve material requests and delivery.
• Assists Project Manager by overseeing the field construction processes.
• Walk with 3rd party inspections (i.e. geo-tech, structural engineer, fire proofing consultant) for activities directly supervised.
• Report deficiencies, problems and delays to project manager.
• Responsible for the walk-through inspection ensuring passage from local municipal inspectors.
