Qualifications

• Experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with a GC/CM.
• Ground-up and/or commercial construction experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors and field operations.
• Ability to read construction drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to grow in the field.

We’re working with a family-owned GC/CM based in Chicago’s West Loop that has been in business for 85+ years. They’re looking to add an experienced Superintendent to their team with a background in ground-up and/or commercial construction.

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee projects in the field from preconstruction/kickoff through closeout
• Manage subcontractors, daily field operations, scheduling, safety, and quality control
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and trade partners
• Keep projects on schedule and proactively work through field issues
• Lead site meetings and maintain strong communication across the project team
• Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the client's expectations

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with a General Contractor or Construction Manager
• Ground-up and/or commercial construction experience
• Experience managing subcontractors and field operations
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, schedules, and specifications
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Someone who genuinely enjoys construction and wants to continue growing in the field
