Job summary

Eventide Fargo Care Center in south Fargo, ND is seeking a Culinary Cook to work full time 5:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., with every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. The role involves preparing meals for residents, ensuring sanitation and food safety, and following established production procedures.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of culinary experience, a high school diploma or GED, and must be at least 18 years old. Serve Safe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of previous culinary experience preferred.
• Serve Safe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high quality meals according to standardized recipes and techniques.
• Uses and directs accurate portion control standards.
• Maintains sanitary conditions in the kitchen at all times.
• Checks menus daily to verify items are prepared as needed.
• Stores leftovers properly according to food handling standards.
• Operates equipment safely and sanitaryly.
• Oversees dining experience to ensure resident satisfaction with meal service.
• Checks temperatures of food and documents in the temperature log.
• Cleans equipment and work areas per sanitation standards.
